The Professional Diving Schools Association of Malta, Gozo & Comino (PDSA) was formed in 1982 in order to represent the interests of the diving community in Malta. It liaises with the Maltese Government and its various departments on all matters related to scuba diving, presenting a common and coherent view point. PDSA Member Diving Centres are owned by people who have a genuine concern for issues such as diver education, diver safety and the environment; all areas that require constant monitoring.

Originally formed with a handful of diving centres, visitors now have a choice of well over 30 PDSA Members, distributed throughout the Maltese Islands. Centres range in size from small to large concerns and our numbers continue to increase each season.

Effective PDSA representation to the Maltese Government, on the increasing importance of diving tourism to the Islands, has resulted in the Government taking a pro-active role in the promotion of the industry through the Malta Tourism Authority.
